Kristen McMenamy (born December 13, 1964) is an American model. She is known for her unconventional, androgynous appearance.

Career

Born in Easton, Pennsylvania, McMenamy's modeling career mainly spanned the years 1985 to 1998, when she worked for many of the world's top designers and international fashion houses (such as Chanel, Valentino and Versace). She has also worked with many of the top fashion photographers, including Helmut Newton, Richard Avedon, Steven Meisel, Juergen Teller, and Karl Lagerfeld. A few months into her career, she was in the 1986 Book, A Day in the Life of America, being photographed by Sante D'Orazio.[1] In 1994, she also modeled in a famous Gianni Versace advertising campaign featuring Nadja Auermann and Elton John, photographed by Richard Avedon.[2]

On January 25, 2011, Kristen Mcmenamy modeled for Chanel, she was the bride of Chanel couture.

Personal life

In 1997, McMenamy, then five months pregnant, married the British photographer Miles Aldridge, a brother of the fashion model Saffron Aldridge.[3] Their first child was born four months later. They had a second child together. Kristen has a daughter, Lily (born 1994) from a prior relationship with Hubert Boukobsa and Miles has a child as well from a previous relationship.
